 BG United football club is the new Glenview League 2008 Champion. The boys of Marin Kirov outscored FC Republic by 5:1 (4:0). Goals were scored by No15 K. Shilev (2), No19 I. Tochev (2) and No24 P. Pamukov. Man of the game become Kostadin Shilev.
The “Bulgarians” destroyed all competitors on their way to the title. This season the team won both trophies: the Championship cup and the Tournament cup - something that has happened for the first time in the league's history! With 10 Wins, 1 tie and only one loss BG United became the league winner, scoring 56 goals for the season.
There were quite a few injuries and suspended players during the year. At that very last moment the team showed unity and succeeded to gain an advantage over the other opponent. With brilliant tactics, iron discipline and strong Bulgarian spirit BG United crashed to dust and ashes all hopes of the other league members.
A deserved break after the final is given to the all players. Now they collect sun tan at top US beach resorts. Photos and videos of "The Champions” can be seen on the club website under gallery/photo album/2008 and videos section.

League champions! Again! BG United defeat FC Republic by 4:3 and won the 2008 Glenview men's league. With this victory the Bulgarians are out of reach at the top of the table two rounds before the end of the season. The goals scored: №8 V. Dimitrov (2), №14 K. Rusev and №18 S. Stoychev. A point to note is that BG United played vs. 10 FC Republic players during the entire match.
Before the half time BG United struggled to score many goals and after two rough mistakes ended tie 2:2. After the break time the team showed it's better side and logically score two more goals, wich were just enough to grab the victory. Both teams met earlier this season (6th round ) when BG United lost by 2:3.
This is a third consecutive title for the boy's of Marin Kirov. They won the title again in 2006 and 2007. Now the team awaits one more game to go vs. F. United in the next round. The last matchday BG United have a bye week. After that there will be a play-offs for the tournament cup, starting August 10.

A lot of rain - No games! This was the real scenario, under what past the last round of the Glenview league. Only one game was played entirely. The rest of the games of the matchday were canceled because of a lighting thunderstorm. The derby match of the first two teams at the top of the table between Euro United and BG United ended tied 3 : 3. The goals for the visitor's team were scored by: №10 M. Kirov and №18 S. Stoychev (2).
Top two teams showed their best performance since the start of the league. Each team took the lead once but no one finely won. So top two teams remains with equal points at the top of the league standings. The replay of the rest of the matchday games will be posted shortly.

The Glenview League - just like the Premier League! Yes, the parallel between the two leagues is not too far. Top two teams in the current chart lost their games vs. teams from the bottom of the table. Goals late in the second half decided the outcome of the two matches. BG United was defeated from FC Republic by 2:3. Goals for the team were scored by: №10 M. Kirov and №18 S. Stoychev. Two players from the visitors team, №5 B. Yordanov and №20 S. Slavchev, received red cards within 10 minutes during the second half.
UNAC defeated Euro United also 3:2 with goals scored by: №11 Y. Oprenov (2) and №18 G. Gergov. A point to note is that UNAC played with 14 (11 + 3 subs) players vs. 9 Euro United players during the entire match.
After the 6th round the two leaders lost their comfort advantage and the third team is only a win after them. At the bottom of the table F. United steal a point from Social. The other three teams have 6 points each and still have a chance to chase the leaders of the table.

In front of the eyes of 30 spectators and under excellent weather conditions the
Bulgarian derby took place at Arena of Glenview stadium. The team of BG United
tore to pieces the ambitious team of UNAC by 5 unanswered goals. The victory
was well-deserved and this was the least that the visitors could leave with.
During the entire match it became clear who’s more experienced, and who’s
the younger squad. The first half two goals were scored by the playing coach №10 M. Kirov.
Three more goals ware added the second half by №5 B. Yordanov and №18 S.
Stoychev – 2.
It is fair to mention that the
brave boys of UNAC had played their best match of the season so far.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough to break the tough defensive line of the home
team and score at least one goal. Both teams had a problem with short
sub’s bench and some suspended players. After the
match here is what the MVP of the game, №17 D. Doudin, had to say:
- “We knew that we’re going to win the game. The real
question was how many goals we would score and how many we would miss. I’m sorry
to say that we missed at least 10 more than we scored. UNAC also had their few chances to score, but they just
had a bad day”, Doudin said.

These are the latest results form the 3rd round of the Glenview league:

F. United - UNAC 1 : 3
BG United - Nato 3 : 0
Euro United - FC Republic 5 : 2
This round UNAC achieved its first victory at its opening season as a team. It was a great, unforgettable victory, and the team is hoping to have more wins this season.

 ...Finally, here are the results form the last week matchday! It's been like forever to publish them, because of some technical difficulties. BG United achieved its 2nd victory this year over the team of Social by 6:4. Goals were scored by №8 V. Dimitrov, №14 K. Rusev, №15 K. Shilev and №18 S. Stoychev - 3. Neither the cold weather, nor the absence of spectators had affected the final rezult of the match. Although, the team had experienced some difficulties, the victory is well-deserved.
After a good first half UNAC squad disappointed its fans again. The team allowed second consecutive lost, this time form the rookie team of Lakeview FC. The comfort advantage by 2 goals wasn't enough to win the game and the visitors left the field as a winner by 3:6. Goals for the home team scored №8 R. Kitanov, №11 Y. Oprenov(pen) and №18 G. Gergov.
At the post game press conference the coach of UNAC said, that the team has practicing hard every day and seek after its first victory.

 The team of BG United defeated Lakeview FC by 4:2 at Community Park West stadium in front of about 10 spectators last Sunday. Goals were scored by №8 V. Dimitrov, №10 M. Kirov, №13 I. Mateev and №18 S. Stoychev. Yellow cards were awarded to №3 A. Kacharkov and №5 B. Yordanov.
The other Bulgarian team UNAC, who participating this season in the Glenview league, lost it's opening game to NATO by 6:2. UNAC stands for United National Amateurs Club and is assembled only from Bulgarian players, just like BG United.
